From Linda Pate: Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Linda Pate, owner of Precious Memories Reading and Collectibles Bookstore.

Just over seven years ago Precious Memories Reading and Collectibles was a dream; a vision and a passion that burned brightly within me. I had no idea where it would take me and have been blessed to see it grow into what it is today. Now, I want to increase the vision by helping others see their dreams come true.

Since its inception, Precious Memories Reading and Collectibles has offered unique reading programs for the community such as: The "Talking Book," "Let’s Read" and the "Dream Readers". We are an organization with a clear vision and a passion for Richmond’s children and youth.

As an Outreach Bookstore, we believe that if the young can catch the Dream to read, the outcome will be a lifetime of creative potential that will impact not only the Richmond community, but our nation as a whole. No child will be left behind if they excel in reading!

I am proud of our store and the opportunities it has afforded me in bringing the community closer together through books. Precious Memories has also hosted a number of community events such as: Chocolate Sip and Dip which was featured on the front page of the Food section of the Richmond Times Dispatch last February. We have assisted authors with Journaling Workshops, Publish Your Dream workshops and OUT marketing strategies. We also offer book signings for local authors to get their name out into the community.
