What a Great Meeting!

Our January meeting was phenomenal! Our guest speaker, Fredric Almond, Sr. uplifted and motivated us not only in sharing his story of his journey from the edge of death to forgiveness and wholeness through Christ but as writers! He urged us to "tell the story God gave us to tell."

At age eleven, Fredric Almond, Sr., had to face a horrific event that left him on the floor bleeding from being stabbed thirty-nine times. The situation, as you can imagine, changed his entire life as a young boy. With courage, perseverance, and willingness, he overcame the scar.

Fredric says, “I currently work within the community and local churches, encouraging young, middle aged and older people about not giving up hope and explaining to them that their scar is the reason why they are still alive; reminding them that they are alive to fulfill their God given purpose.”

Frederic is a soft-spoken young man with a self-effacing style and powerful message of forgiveness and redemption that doesn't get lost behind his boyish charm. His book, Scarred for Life, can be ordered from Tate Publishing through Frederic's website, Scarred 2 Live.

While Frederic's presentation was a "hard act to follow" our co-directors each offered us words of encouragement to "get back on the writing horse" and "keep moving marbles." In other words, get busy and keep writing!

If you would like to learn more about Marble Moving, watch for an upcoming post or leave a comment. If you would like to have a phone call, email our director at RichmondCWW@aol.com
with your phone number. Better yet, come to our next meeting on February 21.

We've got an amazing, inspiring year planned! Don't miss out! Join us!
